Vote Yes on C to support quality education at Summerville Elementary School!

Our beloved school is over 60 years old, and though it may look good on the outside, the infrastructure is rapidly deteriorating on the inside. Measure C will fix aging classrooms, bathrooms, plumbing, and leaky roofs, and replace outdated HVAC systems so our children can learn in a safe and healthy environment.

The overhead walkway covering in front of the library is in need of replacement.

For the first time in its history, Summerville Elementary is asking voters to support a bond measure to repair and update our neighborhood school. After years of responsible financial stewardship and stretching every dollar, the school can no longer delay critical facility improvements.

Vote Yes on C to:

  • Support quality education at Summerville School.
  • Provide clean and safe classrooms.
  • Repair leaky roofs and deteriorating HVAC systems.
  • Improve fire safety systems and alarms.
  • Repair and update aging plumbing, sewer, and electric lines.
Much of the HVAC equipment on campus is severely outdated and in a state of near-constant repair.

Measure C has strict accountability requirements and will create a dedicated source of local funding that can only be used to repair and upgrade our neighborhood school.

Independent citizens’ oversight and annual financial and performance audits are required, and no funds from Measure C will go towards administrators’ salaries or pensions.

All Measure C funds must be spent on fixing our school.

The roof over the cafeteria and the A-Building are leaky and unsafe.

Summerville Elementary School has provided a traditional, high-quality education to Tuolumne students for generations. Measure C will help provide safe and up-to-date classrooms for current students and for generations to come.

After years of doing more with less, critical facility needs can no longer be delayed. Now is the time to invest in our students and community.  Good schools benefit us all.

Join parents, teachers, and local leaders and vote Yes on C to support high-quality education in Summerville Elementary School.
